ABOUT THE PROGRAM
We Are Dedicated to Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders
SAGE Business Program teaches girls the skills they need to start and run their own business. Each week focuses on a different part of entrepreneurship, building toward a real product a girl can sell. We run one session each year, from May through July, in Southeast Raleigh, with 25 girls per session.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
From First Idea to Opening Day

Finding Her Vision (Weeks 1–3):
Girls start by discovering their passion and building a vision for their own business. From there, they develop their brand, learn to identify their customer, and use Canva to design a logo. We also cover the fundamentals every business needs, including budgeting and ROI in Excel.
Building Her Product (Weeks 4–5):
With the foundation in place, girls create their own product and build a marketing strategy to reach their customer. They also learn to price their product based on materials and profit, so the numbers make sense before they ever make a sale.

Selling to the Public (Weeks 6–7):
In the final weeks, girls learn to pitch their product with confidence and prepare everything needed for a successful event, from display to advertising. The program closes with a live vending event, where every girl sells her product to the public and shows off what she built.

WHY IT MATTERS
Teaching Girls to Build, Not Just Dream
We believe empowering girls to become entrepreneurs benefits them and their communities. A girl who builds a successful business can provide real products and services, and even create jobs for others. Along the way, she is closing the gender gap in business ownership and picking up life skills that go far beyond this program, including communication, marketing, and financial management.
